Terms of use

These terms cover what When Is Wipe provides and what you can expect from the data on it.

The site is provided as it is. When Is Wipe reads server data from Steam's public Rust server list and from the servers themselves, and refreshes it every five minutes. A server can publish a wipe time late, report a name that is not accurate, or show a player count that lags behind. Times are shown in UK time with UTC in brackets, and every figure is a snapshot taken at the last refresh, not a guarantee.

Using the site. You can browse, compare and check wipe times on the server list without an account or payment. Do not send rapid automated requests to the pages; that slows the site for other players. If you need the full dataset, email hello@rustwheniswipe.xyz.

Crawlers and AI tools. Search engines, bots and AI crawlers are welcome. Read robots.txt and llms.txt first; they set out what lives where. Keep your fetch rate reasonable so ordinary visitors still get fast pages.

Server owners. A server appears on When Is Wipe because it is on the public list. Everything on its page, including name, tags, wipe times and player slots, comes from what the server publishes. To change what is shown, change it on the server. Most edits are picked up within five minutes.

Force wipe. The force wipe date shown on the force wipe page follows Facepunch's schedule. When Is Wipe reports the date and does not control it.

Not affiliated. When Is Wipe is independent and has no connection with Facepunch Studios. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.

Changes. These terms can change without notice. The date below shows when they last did. If you keep using the site after that date, you accept the updated terms.

Questions

3 answered
Can I use When Is Wipe data in my own project?

You can browse and check servers on the site freely. For the full dataset, email hello@rustwheniswipe.xyz and we will work out what you need. Automated requests should follow robots.txt and stay at a sensible rate.

Why does a server show a wrong wipe time or player count?

Every figure comes from what the server reports to Steam's public list or publishes itself. A server can report a wipe late or show an inaccurate name, and player counts can lag. The data refreshes every five minutes, so the page shows the last reading rather than the current second.

Is When Is Wipe run by Facepunch?

No. When Is Wipe is independent and has no connection with Facepunch Studios. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios. The site only tracks public servers and reports what they publish.
