What does a trio group limit mean in Rust?

A trio group limit means the server caps teams at three players. You cannot form a group of four or more. The limit is set by the server owner, not by Facepunch, and is shown on the server's page here as trio.

How often do trio servers wipe?

Trio servers set their own wipe schedules, usually weekly or monthly. The next wipe time for each server is shown in the table in UK time with UTC in brackets. Facepunch's force wipe also resets maps on the first Thursday of each month at 19:00 UK time, which affects most servers.

Are trio servers good for solos?

A trio limit is often better for solos than an unlimited server, because you cannot be raided by a large clan. However, many trio servers are still busy, so you will meet organised three-player groups. Solo-only servers exist for a stricter cap.

How do I choose a trio server?

Look at the population and next wipe columns. A server that wipes soon will give you a fresh start alongside other players. Check the Group column reads trio, and use the search box to match a name or address if you have one in mind. For more filters, use the full server list .
