Rust roleplay servers

This page lists public Rust servers tagged Roleplay or with "roleplay" in the server name. Counts and wipe times come from the live server list and refresh every five minutes. Use it to see which servers are populated now and when each one next wipes. Times are given in UK time with UTC in brackets.

On a roleplay server the rules sit on top of the base game. Killing on sight is usually restricted, and characters, factions, shops or towns replace some of the normal survival loop. Nearly all of these servers are modded, and a large share are flagged PvE.

The table above is ordered by players online now. Re-sort it by Next wipe to find a world that is about to reset, or by Last wipe to see what has just started. Before you commit to a base, read the Next wipe column: a server three days from wipe is a short run, one twenty days out is a long one.

Group limits on roleplay servers are often lower than the default, because larger teams unsettle the setting. Where the limit matters, the server's own rules page carries it. For filters beyond the tag and name search, the full server list has region, group size and gather rate.

A roleplay server without the tag will not appear here, so this is not every roleplay server in Rust. The ones listed are the ones the public list knows about.

Population is the quickest signal of whether a roleplay server has a community to join. A server with a handful of players at peak may still have a fixed group that plays every evening, so check the history graph on the server page rather than a single reading. Server status explains what the live figures cover.

If a roleplay server is empty when you look, the wipe schedule is the usual reason. Many wipe monthly, but plenty only reset at the force wipe. The force wipe countdown gives the date all servers share. If you want strictly PvE worlds, the PvE server list is the smaller, more specific set.
