How can I tell if a Rust server is modded?

The Modded tab on the server browser lists all servers that change gameplay rules. That includes gather rates above 1x, kits, shops, teleports and custom loot. Facepunch requires these servers to be in the Modded tab, so any raised rate outside it is against the rules.

Which modded Rust server should I pick?

There is no single best server; it depends on your group size, region and how often you want wipes. Start with the gather rate you want, then check the Group column and the Next wipe estimate. The server's own page shows its player history and performance, which is more useful than a top ten list.

Do modded Rust servers wipe blueprints?

Blueprint wipes are decided by each server owner. The monthly force wipe resets the map for every server, but blueprints may or may not be cleared. Check the server's description or its page for details on blueprint wipes.

Are modded Rust servers allowed by Facepunch?

Yes, Facepunch allows server owners to change rates, loot and gameplay using plugins. The only requirement is that the server is listed in the Modded tab. You join with the normal game client and download nothing extra.
